If you have teeth that are stained, discolored, crooked, or chipped, you don't have to suffer through life with them like that.
There are a number of options available to you. Here are some things your dentist can do to help.
If your issue is the color of your teeth, or you have some stains you would like to have removed, your dentist can professionally bleach your teeth using a specialized solution to work away stains and lighten the color of your natural teeth. This usually only takes a few visits for you to see a significant difference, and you can come in for a touch-up whenever you want.
A veneer is a thin piece of porcelain that fits over the front of a tooth. If you have stubborn stains or severe discoloration, getting a veneer may be a good option for you. This will typically require 2-3 visits to your dentist's office, but once your veneers are in place, you simply care for them the way you would normally care for your natural teeth.
Veneers can also be used to correct unsightly gaps or make crooked teeth appear straight. Tooth alignment systems. If your teeth are crooked or gapped and you cannot use veneers to correct the problem, or if you are fine with their coloration but just want to straighten them, there are a number of different alignment systems your dentist can use to gently and gradually straighten out your teeth. These systems vary in a number of aspects, so schedule an appointment to see your dentist and let them go over your options with you.
Dental implants. If you have a tooth that is severely decayed or broken, you may want to consider an implant. A dental implant will look, feel, and operate exactly like a normal tooth.
