A Halloween Treat article from the ADA

Sour Candies Among Halloween Treats To Avoid.

Insider (10/5, DiValentino) included “citrus-flavored and sour candy” in its list of “candies we wish people would stop handing out.” Insider stated that “although many do find this candy delicious, the cons can outweigh the pros” since these treats may harm teeth. The article explained that ADA spokesperson Dr. Matthew Messina “told Reader’s Digest that these candies contain both sugar and acid.” Dr. Messina “suggests limiting how many sour candies and lemony sweets you pick up while trick-or-treating.”
